From Mathare’s crowded alleys to a headset in a corporate tower — Whitney’s story is about rising above limitation with clarity and skill.

She joined Code Her Future Kenya in 2022 with no tech background, but a deep hunger to change her story. Within months, she had mastered computer packages and graphic design.

Today, she proudly works at CCI Call Center, supporting herself and her family.

Now: Part-time Mentor at Dream Girls Initiative, Mathare

From student to mentor, Osachi’s story shows the ripple effect of empowerment.

After her training at Code Her Future Kenya, she knew she wanted to give back. She’s now pursuing coding, while also mentoring school-going girls in Mathare — guiding them through life’s tough decisions, just like she once needed.

“The computer lab gave me skills, but it also gave me a voice. Now I’m helping other girls find theirs.”

Now: Freelance Plumber in Kiamaiko

From graphics to gadgets — and now to wrenches.

Shamsia joined Code Her Future in 2024. After excelling in several courses, she discovered her true calling during a casual plumbing workshop.

Today, she earns her living as a working plumber, defying expectations in a male-dominated field.

“I use tech to run my plumbing business. I owe that confidence to Ready Aiders.”
